I don't have the easiest access to scanning, but I can make that happen. It just will mean time gaps.

This takes a few steps but it may be fine for getting input from the forum on the plan you have done already. No scanning involved!

Open your floor plan
copy a pic of your screen with the floor plan (usually hit fn key and print screen key)
paste the picture of your screen into your computer's paint program
crop the image in the paint program to show the plan, not your whole screen
save the image as a jpeg
go to a photo sharing site (tinypic, photobucket etc) and download your image
copy the HTML for Websites code
paste the code into your message

it sounds complicated, but pretty easy once you do it a few times.

Probably the cheapest are drawing your layout onto graph paper or drawing it in Excel.

We used Excel and it worked great for us. No cost. DH and I both know Excel -- we could email drafts back and forth during the day. Easy to print.

We set each row and column to the same size to make them squares. Then made each square = 6" (to start). Later in the design process we redrew with each square = 3" and again later with each = 1".

I know others have some neat programs on Macs or have bought design software, but Excel worked great for us.

Floorplanner.com can be used but I did find there is a learning curve.

I use Baker furnishings's floor planner. They have miscellaneous items you can use and it's really easy.

I've been wanting to try Autodesk's (the maker of Autocad) product, homestyler.com

You might want to try a few to see what works for you!
