Thanks a lot, BAMA - this is gonna take some time to look through this site. I'm marking it for future perusal but had to check out the Public Art section. I went to Southlake Stampede. Check out # 7 - a cow completely covered in glass w/colored grout. I've wondered where the artists that do these huge animals get their stuff w/o having to make them themselves. What a great site. 'bet these puppies are pretty expensive.

We just got back from Gadsden, AL. They're in the process of doing a community art project with large fish.(approx. 5' long). There was one that was mosaiced, but of course I didn't have my camera.
I just checked the Gadsden website. The unfinished fish cost the artist 1,500. Thats out of my league!!

I had stumbled on this myself some time back but don't figure I can afford them....they are really great tho.

Just received the price of # 724 - oversized turtle - on the unpainted animals - 7' long X 3+ high for $1395. Don't guess I'll be buying any of these - way out of my price range.
