I really like to browse through etsy, every once in a while.
I don't remember where I first heard about it..I think it was on garden junk site...
but I've since ordered something on it..and wish that one day I could even consider selling things there, too.

Thanks ladies! Yes I've got the fever bad. I don't think Etsy is going to work for me though, so I'm going to set up my own site. Or rather DH is going to set it up for me. Luckily I had the forethought to register my domain & right now that's just redirecting to my Etsy page. when I get the new site set up it will be at the same address, www.glassfever.net. It'll probably be a couple of weeks.

how do you register a domain?

I'd sure like to keep both of my user names, for the future.

seaglassic, there are several domain registering services, the one we use is www.mydomain.com. You can also go on there to see if the one you want is available.

Nice, a few reasons. It's saturated with fused glass jewelry so competition is stiff. Some are selling very low. There seem to be more sellers than buyers on Etsy. When you list something new it gets buried fast. If you want any attention on Etsy (especially when you're new) you have to promote yourself like crazy by constantly posting in their forums. Any interest in my Etsy page (& my 1 sale) has been generated by me by posting about it here, on my own forum, telling friends & family, etc. So basically Etsy isn't doing anything for me & I may as well promote my own site.
