Lordy, y'all. I simply can't DO THIS S/C stuff. Got the bowl covered and there's nothing in/on/around/over/under or whatever on my body that doesn't scream w/pain cuz I worked too long today. I HATE S/C!!! Need I say more? Sorry about that to all who love and make it. I kept wanting to put some jewelry, some, rusty washers, some agates, some mirror, some buttons, some rusty screws, some whatevers into it. You who do this and love it, I applaud you. It ain't, nor EVER w/be my style, even though I enjoy looking at yours. Thanks for your compliments.

Well, Slow....you already know my feelings....but this IS really pretty! As I said, it's a good thing we all don't like the same style, or this would be a bloody boring world......and this forum would be bloody boring also...everybody's mosaics are good......there are no bad.....it's all goood! To each their own..!!! That why we all appreciate everyone's work....we're all different..THANK GOD! And I mean that in a really really good way!!!

Sunshine..those glass globs are fairly easy to cut in to with nippers. Easier than some plates!!

Slow, I really like your pitcher especially the green accents! Your artistic talents come through with your choice of colors, design selections, and willingness to explore new arenas. But if it ain't your style, it ain't your style and that's okay. I bet tomorrow we will see something in the Slowmedown razzle, dazzle style that we know.

Slow I love your shaby pictuer. You know it is GREAT to add earings or jewlery to your shabby pices. Mirrors too. Cause if it is not ok then I am not doing shabby either.

What I find so interesting is there are those of us that can do shabby or abstract. Most do one or the other. I think it is the way our brains work. Do not beat yourself up I love your pitcher and it would be just beautiful on my shabby table in our master bath. LOL

Like you wanting to try one shabby some how I am going to do an abstract and it will be as hard for me as shabby is for you. But I just love your pieces so much I want do to one. Ironing board comes to mind. :^)))

Y'all add whipped cream to my morning coffee, I tell ya! Thanks for your kind comments and not beating up on me cuz I said I hate this S/C stuff. I just C.A.N.'T. DO it! Trying to stay w/pink/green/white was really tough. Even though my DD decorates eclectic as I do, she's more organized, and this w/fit her bedroom decor perfectly. It's going on a Victorian dresser. Thank y'all again for being so kind. This forum is made up of a "mosaic" of wonderful people w/wonderful artistic talent, and we all go together cuz we love what we do and do what we love. My next project is for a friend - I'll be making a girlie girl on a surplus cabinet door panel from found objects, inspired by the shrine I bought at the festival. No doubt, there'll be a little mosaicing on it. Thanks for asking.

Another great job by Slow.No matter what style or color you do it turns out great.But I know it's not in your heart so stay with what you love. I love what you do but have a hard time being that free...wish I was I could breath better LOL!

Slow, it is gorgeous and will look wonderful on a Victorian dresser. Even though its not your thing, again, a great job.

Very pretty pitcher SLOW. It really shows off the gold trim well.

I think that really is pretty because I like both styles. Sometimes the things I'm working on seem to me to call for one thing or another. I think the reason some of us do more SC is because those are the dishes we find and I can buy whole sets for less than I pay for a sheet of glass. Any bright bold dishes I find are a)not at the thrift store and expensive and b)heavy pottery or cheap and hard to cut. So, I'm trying to combine bolder glass with some of the SC china I have for my next mirror. My brighter stuff has to be all glass for now.

believe me, if I could find whole sets of floral pastel dishes - cheap... I'd be in heaven. But I still don't think I would create traditional SC.

Slow I know this isn't your thing, but gosh it sure turned out beautifully. It really is nice so I'm glad you persevered. I've done a couple shabby chics too, and ended up really liking them although they weren't my normal style.Kudos to you, great job.

They came out so pretty...your DD is going to love it! Are those made from the set of dishes that you bought when you first started posting on the junk side? I remember you finding the dishes and loved them because the whole dish was covered in flowers. If not, what did you ever do with them?

Million thanks, y'all. Worked on an art girl today and almost finished it but had to shop for one last item - a lock for her handbag. Found a fantabulous WW II round one. Too tired to work anymore on it today. I DID put it in my album under gifts, if y'all are interested. Needs tweaking a bit. All scrounged objects from my garage - door panel, rusty tin for the skirt, rusty big tacks in corners from Mexico hardware store, homemade doll face from a mould and concrete patch, arms from a metal piece from a magnifying mirror, crown is a little broken hand rake head, wooden heart for body, legs from a $ Store porcelain doll, boobs from links of a belt, bed spring at bottom off the street in Mexico etc. Sorry for the long post.
