Window in Brick Wall

I'm totally replacing the 50-year old sliding windows in a brick house I just bought. I want to go with new casement windows.

The openings are mostly 50 1/2 inches high, and a standard size of windows is 48 inch. However I am told that the casing(?) around these windows, which is supposed to overlap a 2x4 in the wall of the typical house with siding, would have to fit inside my brick opening. That would not fit unless the casing were trimmed down.

One contractor recommends Andersen windows. He says he can cut off that casing and nail the windows to the 2x4s inside the wall somewhere. I guess he means inside the bricks.

Another contractor says the Andersens are the wrong type of window for this application, unless we want to go with the next smaller size of window. He recommends Peachtree windows, he would nail the windows to the 2x4s inside the bricks, and then he would install them and seal around them with expanding foam.

Which is right? Is there a difference between Andersen and Peachtree -- like does Peachtree not include that casing from the factory?
