What is the best technique for soldering a tiny ball of solder to the end tip of a straight piece of wire? For example, if I make a bundle of balloons with wires hanging from each balloon, for the strings of the balloons, I like to solder a little ball on the tip of each wire so that the wire will not be sharp to the touch. It also creates a nice finishing touch to each wire. I flux the wire, and try to drop a tiny bit of solder on the tip of the wire, and the solder either travels up the wire coating it, or, it stays on the soldering gun. I can't seem to easily get a small ball to adhere to the very tip. Any suggestiongs?
