I was so choked up by your boat I forgot to look at your squirrel! It is very cute. Its turning out great..I still can't believe how great that sail boat is turning out though!!!

OHMYGOODNESS. FIDDLE, you have described true inspiration. I know the exact feeling - when each piece just fits together like some sort of magical happening. It IS so satisfying and soothes the soul, as says ICHEER. The boat is so very beautiful now, made so by the true artist within you. I LOVE your metaphors. The squirrel/leaf and vase are cute, but "that ol' boat" is just plan spectacular. Looks like you were born mosaicing. Would you say you've found your niche?

Fiddle: The sails represent a part of your life and hold memories that you treasure. It is a true MASTERPIECE!

Oh Katie!!! Wonderful to hear how you got your inspiration like that, I have a 3ft swan stained glass panel that I did because one of my Dear Freinds passed away. It just has so many blues(her fav color). AND I LOVE that squirrell!!! The way you are decorating it with all the bling added!! That vase will be very nice when done too, great wip pics!!! Jane

Shrty: Yes... I'm doing just the leaf on the squirrel. I've had that little guy for years... didn't even think of mosaicking him until I saw SQUIRRELYCAnadian's post in the "favorite project" thread. She had such a cute frog holding a little plate in her folder of pictures. So.. thank you for the idea, Shirley!!! Actually.. I may put some "stuff" on the base of the squirrel because I liked what you did, SLOW on your rooster!
Yes ICHEER and SLOW... "soothes the soul" is absolutely right.. and to me it's so unexpected. I was just looking for a 'craft'... and have actually found much more than that.. including a wonderful support group right here! Life is full of good surprises! :)

Katie, your sails are just STUNNING!!! It almost breathes life into the sails. I too have found mosaicing very therapeutic to soothe the soul. You are quite a talented artist and I'm sure your parents are smiling on you.
