Can I get the measurements on this? If so, think I will get my Dad to make one for me to do for his potty. Great way for he and I to do another project together, and have his TP handy for him. ~: )

Janey, I love the TP holder. Wow, what exciting choices! That would be a tough choice but sounds like you've made it. Will be exciting to watch your WIP.

Oh, girlie, you made the right choice for SURE. I'm so happy for you. That TP holder - he whipped that puppy out in a hurry. He's so good to you. I could build one of those for myself, if I could get to the end of the line on some necessities around here. W/be a very functional piece, and what fun to do a flat surface for a change.

I think an ideal tp tower would be 28" tall and 6" wide and 6" deep and the door cut 1/2 higher from the base so the base can be mosaiced also, this door is right to the bottom so I have to paint the base. And I would make it out of nothing bigger than 1x6's, except for a base that would be 1" bigger than the tower. Here is how mine looks...

bedroom, and DD 20, wants to come back home for a while, so
I'll be giving up mine. I won't be taking the counters and cabinets out, she'll have to make do. I bet you didn't sleep
well at all! Too cool!! Lucky girl!

Wow, I could REALLY use one in my downstairs Bathroom. I clipped the sizes. Of course, I'd have to do it myself, but it is doable (unless I run into one cheap somewhere)

when you first described it, I was thinking I have one, just like it..
and it turns out that's the case.
only difference is that the door is all the way over the whole
thing and there's a half moon cutout on the front of it.

the only thing I ever did it with it, so far..has been to paint it all black in preparation for mosaic pieces.
like all other projects...it sits and waits.

That would be like asking if you want a one dollar bill or a hundred dollar bill ! DUH ! No question on the studio ! LOL

I was fully prepared to make my own tower, but glad hubby did it as mine would be slapped together, I am NOT a perfectionist with saws!!lol! I am hoping to surprise DH with a sliding compound mitre saw for Christmas (to do more stuff for me!!!)Too Much: Studio cost is probably more than double so I would only be able to get it to a certain point for a while, but if it gets started, it'll be more likely to get done!

OMG!! A STUDIO!! How lucky you are! Can't WAIT to see the plans for it! Who needs a deck anyway??? Studio will be used year round for many years to come. Congrats!!

Hey the tp tower looks great! Kudos to DH! Looks like it could withstand an Arkansas tornado! :) Even the one I have I have wished was on casters. I'll bet you could put casters on yours no problem, and that would raise it up off the floor so you could mosaic it, I think? Keep us posted!

Jane the holder is coool!!! For some reason I thought you had a studio....that will be cool to have for sure...a studio how cool...I sit and dream...I cant really complain my 3rd room is what I use...I call it my studio..and the hubby just laughs!!!

I have a shed/studio 18x20 and a bedroom/studio 8x10, but the indoor one is too small, and the outdoor one is cold/ just good during the summer. This studio would be big and insulated/heated and and and.....I'm painting a sandwich sign I bought for $2 a while back, to see if I can start selling some garden art for Christmas gifts and such. Plan to set it at the end of my driveway and see if I get any nibbles!!! All a work in progress... gotta sand and prime the tp tower too, have picked out some "stuff" to get an idea of what I'll do mosaic wise on it.

I can't wait to see it finished! So pics please!!!

Thank you Jane for all the info on the holder! This is one of the functional projects that would be so nice to see all the time. ~: )
