I would expect to find a label plate on the frame.

Google says Type 133-1 is the motor type for various Craftsman saws...

Some of these motors have thermal circuit breakers intended to keep the motor from overheating; Maybe this is the cause of it cutting off- the breaker is too sensitive.
RAS's should be sent to the recyclers; Sears was buying theirs back; they would give you $75 IIRC
