Hazie, I had suggested that in the past... it would be neat to know who you are making something for (but they wouldn't know) then we could all do "research" on that person's likes and dislikes. But you have to admit - the accidental match ups have magically worked out!

I'm not for knowing to whom, y'all. I think our creative minds need to be free to do whatever we choose. Beginners, DO NOT feel you are competing or less talented - you're not - you are creating something from your heart that any of us w/love and appreciate. Just let's all do the thing that inspires us, and do our usual style and let the creative side of you just take over - NOT who it's going to. Follow your art, y'all.

OHMYGOODNESS. I meant to preface my suggestion w/IMHO. Don't mean to suggest ANYTHING except my opinion.

I can definitely do this one, I have a lot more time to work on it than I did for the last two I was in COUNT ME IN!!! Now I just have to figure out what to do!!!

I don't care if whomever gets me is a beginner or not its all good!!! I have yet to get a exchange gift that I DIDNT like...SC is ok with me also!! Ive never done it but I don't mind getting it!!!

I'm with SLOW on this...NOT knowing...remember in the past we've had people who had to drop out at the last minute. That's right, ANY object, a THEME, or NOT--in other words ARTISTIC LICENSE! Go with what your GUT tells you to do and HAVE FUN!

Well, DARN. I'm not going to be able to commit to this one! My work stuff ( schedule) is still up in the air and I will probably be working 7days/10 hours all of DEC.(first time in years, but I'll probably be FORCED in to it)

Aw, c'mon, Maria - even if you're working 10 hr days, ya still have 14 hrs to play!!! LOL!! I know what you mean, tho - in a former job December was the pits for me! 10-12 hour days, then virtually sleep all of Jan.

HEY, Y'ALL! I've changed the name of our exchange to "HOLIDAY" so that those who don't celebrate Christmas can partake without feeling awkward. Believe me, I certainly did not mean to exclude anyone. Let's change the deadline to Dec. 31 also. Hey, hey, we can be opening a gift on New Year's Eve! Bring on the bubbly!

Sounds great. You know - I still have the bottle of bubbly I didn't open last year. Think I'll use it this year when I open my exchange gift.

Sock monkeys have been around forever. They're made out of tube socks. Iused to have one when I was a wee lass.

Still pondering...what if I get a hairspray can.....decorate it up with a little curly wig.....put some lace around it.....and some foo foo ribbons.........spray paint it a robins egg blue..........and somehow paint a face on it................hmmm.
