You cut that precisely WITHOUT a grinder? Color me wayyyyy impressed with your cutting skills. My grinder is my best friend :-)

Like everyone has said, it's very beautiful. IMHO, the beauty of mosaics is the imperfections, not the fitting so closely that it resembles a photograph. Your work is excellent w/o a grinder.

Thanks everyone for your comments on my use without a grinder. I guess if you don't have one you learn to make do. The second picture is the picture of the whole piece. I'll take a shot further away. The butterfly wasn't a pattern, it was just from a picture I saw in a butterfly book. I started the project from having mosaic withdrawal pangs and found the piece of cement board in the garage and just started - not knowing what I was going to do with it. Too heavy to hang, right now it's leaning up on the front porch. If anyone has any ideas how I can frame it or get it to hang up, it would be helpful.

Wow. it's really beautiful, I love those colors and the design. Maybe you'll have to rest it on an easel of some sort, like a true work of art. An easel could then be placed any where, indoors or out.
