I read a magazine article last year about a lady who did some huge ones for her garden. I'd think you could sand/rough them up and mosaic for inside or outside w/the proper adhesive. I suppose GE II would work as well as thinset, as long as the surface is roughed up enough.

I found the link I sent to my mom about how the gal made the fountain. Her photos have been moved to flickr. At any rate, goes to prove you certainly CAN mosaic on PVC, as hers is used for a FOUNTAIN OUTSIDE. For that matter, after I showed this to my mom, she mosaiced a piece of PVC that she uses for a planter outdoors.

I mosaicked PVC bird houses years ago and they are outdoors in a zone 5 climate. They are all in great shape.

didnt shades of idaho do a fountain out of pvc? I have seen many things (not on this site) done with pvc and some of them are so cool and used out doors.

Oh GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR When I am TOO tired I can not sleep. Looking for the mosaic warrier pictures I came across this thread.

YES you can mosaic on PVC. I used Clear silicone. I gave the PVC a light sanding to ruff it up a little and give it some tooth. The tub part is just a plastic tub from Wally world.

This reminds me I NEED to get this fountain drained and cleaned up and stored for the winter. In out weather I do not think I want to leave it out in the cold and snow.
