Hello,

I need help and advice on a Tamarind wooden bench. Here's what happened. I purchased it in Toronto, Canada in 2007. Looked fine, no issues. We moved to California in 2012 and it was in storage for about one year at a warehouse. Not really covered. Then we moved it into our house here in Northern California and it was put in a corner of family room for another year. Looked at it and it appeared fine. So we put a blanket on it so kids don't scratch it. Finally we finished up decorating the family room and moved it out so it could function as a coffee table. BUT took a close at it now and here are the pictures.

The bench cracked in several places significantly. The glue where the legs attached to the bench has separated. Looks like the legs have shifted, separating the glue.

On the legs part, there's big cracks that look like wood is "molding" inside. Its not super soft but does crumble when picked at.

I haven't seen any bugs or beetles on it.

I'm ashamed to say that I probably didn't take care of it as I should. I naively thought if it was a solid piece of wood, it would just last.

Is there any saving it? Any treatments suggested?
