Yep P, you've got some nice pieces.
At least you made your booth fee, but I sure wish you could've done better. I think the spending will pick up after Thanksgiving.

Gosh, I hear this from so many people. I think a lot of these customers at fairs are looking for cheap stuff. I went to one fair just to check it out last year, and the busiest booth was where they sold signs made out of barnwood with sayings like: "This way to the outhouse!"
"Wanna neck in my part of the woods", charming things like that.
Makes you wonder, doesnt it?

Well, of all things. Can't imagine why people won't buy beautiful things such as yours. Definitely, parts of the country have different tastes, and perhaps you'll just have to keep shoving your art in their faces until they GET IT. I seldom see mosaics at art fairs, and even when I do, they're not as nice as those I see on this forum. Seems to be quite a market in CA.

The vase hardly got any attention at the show. The only ones who commented on it were the ones who always told me they did mosaics too. I had a lot of questions about "What is this?" "Is it painted?" about the stepping stones tho. p

Yeah I love that vase most too! lol Do you think people who don't do mosaics can't discern the difference between art like that and some factory molded crap at Kmart?

That is sad that people don't appreciate how nice those things are and the hard work. I've noticed in all the craft shows around here, there's only one mosaic booth every couple of years and it's almost all SC mirrors or pots. Seems to be mostly bead jewelry around here.

You did some really pretty things. I just do not get it how someone can look at them and NOT GET IT!! WE all get it because we do it and know how much time it takes and thought and energy. We appreciate the art.

The local craft show happened here last weekend and was pretty much of a bust for the vendors too. Things are pretty tight now.At least you do have a good start of gifts.
