I made a few more things

I finished these this week. The two larger birdhouses I'd already finished. That's a silver plated cake stand. I added beads and things under the yellow bird on the one birdhouse after I took the pic, and a crystal knob for the pink birdhouse perch.

What fabulous ideas to add "umph" to the birdhouses!! The birdhouses stands are water goblets? Very unique. Love 'em!! I have an idea brewing for a silver plated tray...thanks for the inspiration!

Very pretty. I like the birdhouse with the dangly things hanging down. Are these going to be gifts or are you selling them?

OOOOOHHHHHH love those trays with the porcelain ? flowers and the birdhouses on pedestals! You've been busy, huh?!

Wow kudz! You have been a mosaic machine! Can't believe how
fast you are. Those are wonderful! Your trays are soooo
beautiful. Makes me want to find some more, and not bother
with the tea sets at all! I LOVE your birdhouses. The beads just take them over the top. Really great stuff kudz!

There all really nice. I love the idea of using glass for stands.

Love how you elevated all the birdhouses, and the little yellow bird on top. Very pretty everything.

Thanks everyone :) I use glass candlesticks for pedestals mostly. The yellow one is on a milk glass goblet, I ran out of bead for the fringe on it. The blue willow one is from a plate my sister gave me that had a chip in it, I used every single piece of that plate on there! except the heel :) I haven't been checking in lately, Hazie, you made some tea sets? I'll have to do a search, I bought a silver plate tea service to make one,too :) Been saving chipped cups and things that are rounded for the round parts of the tea pot and sugar bowl and creamer. I added roses to the big oval tray, too. And pearls and beads, etc. I love the romantic, shabby chic look,as you can tell :) I also bought an old desk, I'm hoping to mosaic the top of it with a lot of old china and stained glass. So far,all I did was paint it white :)

    Very nice pieces! Beautiful work!

Wow, those are really nice! I love the Blue Willow BHouse especially, but they're all great.

A FEW, says she. GEESH - what a roll you've been on. These are just as sweet as sugar candy. LOVE the cup handle on the birdhouse and especially the large tray. That is truly beautiful. Like your idea of putting the birdhouses on pedestals.

Question ,do you glue the fringe on the bottom of the birdhouses or is it under the china?

Thank you all so much! the fringe is glued to the bottom of the birdhouse :) I do the mosaic work on a few at a time, then grout them all at once. I still manage to make too much grout :) I spray a sealer on them before I put the knobs and fringe and place on the pedestal. My husband was out of town for over a week,so I got to do my thing with no interuptions, loved the creative time it gave me!

Those are wonderful! Your use of the glasses is so clever! Love your colors and added elements. If any of those are gifts, those are some really lucky people.

Here's the tea set I did Kudz.....

I love what you did with your trays!!!

OMG Hazie:) I LOVE it,it's gorgeous! I absolutely love the way you used the pearls around the floral medallions. I also like the extra stained glass, the pink makes the whole set perfect. I've used pearls before, but when I'm wiping off the grout, sometimes it peels the "pearl" off. This has only happened a couple times.......but I was wondering,do you use something on them, maybe a spray sealer before glueing them down? I saw the post about gold coming off the dishes,so far I haven't had that problem(knock wood)

I have used pearls and had to have real wet grout and be real gentle. I used BB gun BB's on this one. They were a pain to glue but were better when grouting!

I forgot how gorgeous your tea set is, Hazie. Loved looking at it again! What an inspiration for all of us.

BB's!! HeHe :) I have BB's!! You know, from the photo,it looks just like these gray strands of vintage pearls I have! Now,I'll bet the BB's match the silver edges of the set quite nicely, and you've given me an excellent idea for my set:) I saved the pic of your tea set to my favorites,by the way :) It's just beautiful!
