I HAVE THAT EXACT SAME STAND !!!!!! They were popular years ago and I had DH make me one. It's just stained and sitting in a corner now. It's been on my to-do list for years now .

That is cute. I still cant find any affordable dishes. the ones I found were 3.99 a plate and I just could not make myself pay that much. Its gonna look so adorable when done.

Chickee, that is a lot for one plate. I guess I am fortunate because I usually only pay 10-50 cents a plate. I love the thrill of the hunt!

Funny you would say that I just put an ad in the other day.
I also put a want ad on Craigs list for glass and a grinder. My hands are tore up from that heart stand! I don't think I can wait for Santa to bring me one. OUCH!

This was by far the hardest thing I have had to grout. I am not happy with the way the grout turned out. I was wondering........Can you grout over top of grout?

What is it about the grout you don't like? Color, or not completely filled in? You can easily change the color by painting it, and you can fill in the grout if needed. But I think it's very pretty just as it is.

Yeah, Its mostley cause It needs to be filled in more. a piece fell off while grouting for some reason so I will try to repair it and re- grout later. How would you paint the grout, with a brush and follow the grout lines?

I paint the whole thing, and then clean off the tiles when it dries with a dry or damp rag. Really easy to do!
I wish there was someone on my Christmas list I could make something like for. Shipping would be a real pain!
