Kymi, Your back splash is WONDERFUL!! I too love the little splashes of the lighter blue. Keeps your eye moving around it. Good job!! And you said this was your first?? WOW!!!! Love it!!!

Oh,you guys are soooooooo nice! I was so worried after seeing all the many beautiful projects on this forum. Yes, this is my first, but I studied and hemmmed and hawed for months on the colors, tecnique (?) and design till finally I just had to make a move. That's why I just couldn't do a sample project first. I'd take another few months to decide if I did that. You were all such a great help. There are some "boo boo's" mixed in, but nothing I can't deal with, I hope. I still have 1/3 of the way to go, including the sink area. I really think I'm going to use outdoor deck liquid nails for that tiny part between sink and window. It's really yucky there.

Yes MM, those are glass squares that came in the big mesh-backed squares. I was going to just do them, but too expensive and boring. As for the grout, I don't know. Was going to go white but don't think the few white junks I have in there will look right. Any suggestions are certainly welcome!!!! They have silver grout at Menard's. Is that more like a lighter grey?

You're gonna be a fantastic mosaicist. Doesn't look like a first project AT ALL. Congratulations on being fearless. Doesn't this just make you want to start another project right away. My backsplash above my stove was my first (uh, after that horrible little heart-shaped table I made a mess of), and I was hooked for ever after. Nice job, KYMI.

That looks just great, you did a fine first job. I would say grey grout would look really nice with all those blues,

Very impressive!! You are the only one that will notice those boo boos that you said were there. We are our own worst criticts. I would agree with gray grout, maybe a light gray so it wouldn't be too dark.
