Where did you get the offset frames to mosaic? Those would be quite nice to work with.

I had a woman ask me at that christmas bazaar I did for butterflies but i had made christmas and winter themed stuff since it was a 'Christmas' sale...butterflies must be the 'in' bug this year :)

Thanks, Everyone. I think the butterfly one is my favorite too. I think the gray grout on the lighthouse gave it a little too shady look.

Maria, I made them to sell but now I haven't decided if I will do that or not.

Pea, I bought the frames from Michael's. They are made of MDF. I LOVE doing these frames because they are flat and easy to work with. I use Weldbond for adhesive. I have made some and put in mirror instead of the photo glass. If anyone else has a resource for MDF frames at good prices, please let me know.

I like them ALL... but have to admit that butterfly is extra special! It's so cute the way you put the one in the corner of the opening. I probably wouldn't have even thought to do that! It adds such personality!

Those are so nice, really good looking. I kept clicking next on the photos & saw your yard, then saw the baby pictures. I have to say the baby is just a doll, makes me want to go find one to snuggle a little, LOL;)

Can't pick a favorite, although the flower in the pink trio is close - nah - maybe the lighthouse - NOT - I LOVE them ALL. How do you cut your glass - nipped or w/a ring saw. Petals are so perfect, as well as the butterfly wings. Spectacular work as usual, D3.

Thanks, Slow. I save my ring saw for exceptionally difficult cuts. I don't go for perfect, I go for close enough. For the petals, I usually cut a rectangular piece of glass then score curves and hope for a clean break. The butterflies are actually 3/4" metallic glass tiles; I shaped them with the grinder. I LOVE my grinder.
