I'm sorry about your car but thrilled for you!

Well, the car is owned by his company so we dodged a bullet there. They will have to have it repaired and replace the GPS. It's just a butt kicker to have your space invaded like that. But it's cool that something good came out of it.

Someone else on here was telling a story about their husband coming in the house telling her there was a wreck that just happened down the street. She was all concerned, thinking it might be someone they knew. He was like " No!! There's crash glass all over the place!" LOL!!!

Yep, my sister broke her sliding glass door. Bad for her, good for me! Maybe I'll give her that coffee table top-turned-glass hanging, if she likes it :)

Dh just pointed out to me this morning that the GPS has our home address and his parents home address on it. I know the theives' intent isn't to come to our house, but just take what they could and run off, but that still bothers me.

Dh also got one of those scam emails day before where they tell you you are marked for assassination unless you cough up a certain amount of money. It's a third world scam and his bosses recently dealt with this same thing, but it's just scary to me.

I know the feeling. After an accident had been cleaned up, there was a big pile of broken glass and that is all I could think of, how I could stop the car and get some of the glass. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks like that.

So sorry about the theft. That stinks! What a tough way to get some glass! I would be a little excited too though.

No, I don't have a pic of that fireplace but I search the web regularly for it. I saw it on an HGTV progam where they were checking out the fireplace for structural issues and the crash glass was just secondary. However it was a topic of conversation. It had a muted blue background I think and fleshy colored grout. So soothing to look at! But while I was again trying to find that pic, I came across this. Disney is doing mosaics! We went there a few years ago. The mosaics in cinderella's castle were nothing short of amazing. They were huge, and they were made out of pieces that were about 1/4". Can you imagine being part of that team of artist?

Good for you, making lemonade from lemons! I'm too chicken to try a crash glass project! Dunno why, guess it's still outside of my box!

I have found that for the great look of it, it can be tedious to use. I have huge amounts of tiny pieces and I plan on using every bit of it. Need lots of small breaks. The larger pieces are pretty easy to use, feels like cheating, but I'll get over it.

Hey, I knew Mickey and Minnie. They used to live with me - NO KIDDING!!! I love to tell kids that on the airplane heading to Orlando. My daughter used to be M & M (not at the same time) when she was in college.

Sunshine, I'm glad good came out of the bad. I have some crash glass but haven't tempted to use it yet. It seems too tedious to me.
