OHMYGOODNESS!!! You've been VERY busy. Pray tell - how did you do the yard sculpture. The pieces are barely touching each other. That is REALLY a fantastic piece. I LOVE your pot. Looks smooth to me. I assume you use the 3/4" tiles? I find they are a little large for most of my round pieces. Yours looks great. Creative way to use scraps on your mobile. Can't figure out how you did the fleur.... All very pretty.

Slow, I don't know how long the yard sculpture will last. It's an experimental piece using large scrap pieces of stained glass from some of my other projects. That's zinc came as "legs" and everything is just foiled and soldered together.

The mosaic pot was done with 3/8" vit tile and although I called myself using a generous layer of thinset I still had a few tiles pop off near the bottom of the pot.

The fleur is just a bevel set with crystals attached to the bottom. The backglass is actually a reeded glass door into my kitchen. I was trying to find a place to take a pic that didn't reveal the horrendous mess my house is in and that's the closest clutter/crap free spot I could find! lol

You really have been busy girl.I really like them all but the yard art is outstanding.I would love one in my yard,but my sprinkler goes off 3 times a week in the summer so probably would not hold up very good for me.Love your choice of colors beautiful job.

Oh, yess, ICHEER, I can see, I THINK, why you'd lose those small tiles. If you look at them, there's so little for the thinset to grab onto unless you sorta smoosh them into a heavy amount of it. They're really teensy, and I usually use the flat side up on those. Hardly ever use that size either.

The flat side is facing up/out and the little groove thingies are smooshed into the thinset. Sorry that's not clear in the picture. They were difficult to work with because they were so small, so I don't know that I'll order them again ... now to find something to do with the bajillion I have left! lol

LOVE IT ALL! A suggestion or question about the sculpture, have you reinforced the pc with that sripping that stabilizes it across the width? Or even a Zinc pc going across the backSay at the bottom and near the top. Just an idea cuz it looks fragile and it's too pretty to have all that effort in and have it start sagging from gravity. I learned the hard way with a panel I did that is 24inches across, I used a thick gage wire but it ain't really doing it I shoulda used that zinc strip stuff.

I didn't use reinforcement but I think you're probably right - I should have. I think I'll go back and add some. THanks for the suggestion!

That rondel was a garage sale item of 6 hand blown dishes! Cut to be a rondel! Cool eh? Just scored 3 purple ones! Yippee! I forgot to mention that I LOVE the tulip Bevel! The crystals dangling are a perfect touch!

iCheer! I'm cheering! LOVE your work! Ditto what everyone else said on the Yard Art- Beautiful! I have those little tiles, too, but I'm a firm believer that the size of the project dictates the size of the tile/tesserae used. It's a perfect size for that pot, I think.
I'm going to be doing my BF, too, and need a little practice piece like that before I tackle it. For now, I'm just gathering whatever is on sale at various places so I have lots of colors to choose from when I finally do get around to it. (My "color" mood changes daily, so who knows where it'll be the day I decide to do it. Certainly can't choose the colors TODAY for something I'll be doing later- LOL!)

Icheer, love your art. Very creative stained glass work. The pot looks great. I just finished a mushroom (just saying that reminds me I haven't take a picture) using those small 3/8" tiles using thinset. The thinset made it hard. But those little tiles fall off the edge of almost anything you put them on and no matter what glue. I have used them on framing edges with different adhesives and can almost guarantee a problem during grouting. When I grout, I have either a tube of E6000 or GE II at hand to make those quick fixes.

Icheer, Almost missed your creations!! Everything is wonderful. The yard art is stunning.

I have found the more I use the little bits of glass the more I like them I cut up some 3/8 bits of stained glass to use on the project I am working on. They are harder to glue down but I am finding I can get so much more of a design with them. Do not give up on them yet.

I LOVE that panel....that is just too cool. I watched a show yesturday on HGTV about a couple in Cali that had a bunch of panels in there yard. I was so envious!!! I'd hate to have to go pull them all up in a wind storm though!!!
Did you do it in copper foil or lead?? Im thinking when I make one I might do it in lead so its got a little more strength to it..but I would still reinforce it like Jane suggested.

The pot is great also. I have used those tiny tiles and love them. But I tend to love small things like that. I have had so many pop off during grouting I couldnt even try to count...I just keep on trying!!! The GE II has helped me immensely though.

Everything scrolls off the front page so fast anymore...I missed this until now! WOW! All great stuff! 'Course, I'm with everyone else, that yard piece is terrific. I've never used any kind of came, don't know beans about it. I'm gonna have to learn someday watching all you guys who can use it to such creative ends!

ICHEER: WONDERFUL piece of yard art! I'd be afraid some animal would come tearing through my yard and break it or become ensnarled in it.
I LOVE 3/8" tiles! Really, they are some of my favorite pieces to use. In fact, they are covering the top of my exchange gift! Rarely do I have them pop off.
