I have found that doing multiples of anything bores me. I'd not be good at production work.

Sirius, they are both beautiful and like everyone else I too hate the idea of duplicating. I would have a tendency to make improvements in each item until they outshine the first and it embarrasses me. LOL

nothing to be embarrassed about here though, they all look terrific. Were you giving these as gifts?

Those are so pretty! I love the shape of your ornaments and you can't tell the glass choice wasn't deliberate. I also don't like to do anything in multiples. In fact, I do one thing in china, then stained glass, then china..

I love them! I think the difference in glass gives them life, texture and personality! Great job!

They're all really pretty................I love the bases! I have a hard time doing two of the same thing.....I have a hard time getting one thing done also though.....as you said, life...day-to-day living gets in the way!!!

I like the variations in glass. Nothing in nature is ever the same. So to me it looks totally natural. They are beautiful trees and will look so pretty as table decorations. Are they for you or gifts?
I would hate to give them away.

Beautifullllllllllllllllllllllllllll, i just bought a wood tree to do. Haven't had the time to do it. You were my inspiration to do something out of the box for me. Also bought a sled to do.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like to do multiples. I actually like the first one with the dangly bulbs best. I mailed the first one and the second one made out yesterday to my parents and my inlaws. The third one is for whoever. My father just sent me 12 more to do...

gulp - 12 more just like those? As a stepping stone slave, may I offer a suggestion? INDIRECT METHOD ~ lol. I would have gone insane if I'd had to sit in the same spot working on all those stepping stones. Using the indirect method, I could work in front of the tv, in the backyard, propped up in bed, at the kitchen table, etc. I just put my glass in little cups, grabbed my pattern, nippers, contact paper, and a large cookie sheet and worked wherever my butt landed - including my desk at my place of employment :-)

You did such a great job on them that I can understand why he wants you to do more for him :-)

Never thought of the indirect method - yeah I can see me doing that in bed - my DH already complains about the glass chips in the carpet, couch, all over the patio... Really, I am going to try a different method for the next. My father is a retired master wood craftsman and it gave him a nice project to do, so how could I turn down 12 more?

The trees turned out wonderful. I really like the shape and the milifore works well too.

I did several styrofoam trees, thinking if they came out good then I would do more. Couldn't do it. I made five all total and that was it. I have one more sitting on my table asking to be finished, but I am thinking I'm really over it! Yours look much better than mine though, and you have someone highly interested in seeing them completed. So you are really ahead of the game there.

Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see what else you do with them!

They are wonderful!! I, too would HAVE to do something different on the "final" 12! You could take a cue from Garden Ridge - saw a fucia tree there with red lights (JUST KIDDING! - it was horrible looking to my eye!).

You are so talented and patient, and the results are definitely worth waiting for!

Heck we should have had your Dad make about 30 of them and we could have done those for an exchange gift!!!! That would have kept him busy!!!!!!! I think they look really great. I love them all.

Like everyone else said. I dont do well doing duplicates either. My exchange gift has been replicated now because I took it to work and it was liked so well I was commissioned to make another one for her. Also like Nice I tend to try to make the next one even better and drive myself crazy!!!

My dad would probably love to make 30 more for an exchange. My last tree is going to be done with tiny led lights. My DH drilled out 40 holes in the tree to place the lights. That one will not be fun to do because I'll have to watch the grout around the lights.
