    The wood floors are select white oak. The stain is dark walnut. The floor is installed unfinished and finished on site with owner present to choose exact wood floor color.

      The material is select white oak with a very dark walnut finished on site. Glad you like it. It is very durable.

      This is what we are going to put in our house as well. We were originally gonna put hickory but because the guy we are getting the wood from doesn't have enough for the sf that we need, our contractor recommended going with white oak and just staining it. What do you think about hickory vs white oak? Should we get it finished on-site? Why or why not? Thanks!

      Definitely Oak it has more character and takes on deeper color the more pigment used. I would definitely finish on sight you can get the exact color you want. Pre-finished wood floors do not have the depth of color and finish as raw wood finished on sight. Make sure installer uses street shoe finish.

      If my memory is correct it is Glitza (sp?) Wood floor finish and I believe it was a semi gloss.
