Very pretty! I just gave away a box of blue willow dishes.. but the person I gave them to is actually going to use them for eating purposes.

I love it, it's beautiful:) I LOVE working on old silverplated stuff :) Sometimes I leave it silver, sometimes if it's pitted or won't clean up I spray paint the whole thing and then mosaic it :) I didn't paint the part I was mosaicing once, and glued on pink stained glass, and it came out looking lavender through the silver...lol....it looked good anyway:)

gorgeous!!!! Um...I don't mean to be rude or anything but I have a question...is this a real silver tray, or one of those silver-plated jobbies? If B, how do you keep it from getting all cruddy looking?
I ask because that's a really great tray- the white/blue/silver combination (goes great with the snow in the background, btw)...I just have never been able to keep one of those silver-plated trays from getting cruddy looking, so was wondering how anyone does it.
    Thanks!

mmqchdygg and linlee, I am totally ignorant about whether something is 'real' or not. I'm guessing it's not as I only paid .59 cents for it. And I never thought about keeping it from getting cruddy, so I don't know what to do for that..any suggestions?

Over time you will have to clean it with silver cleaner, I'd tape it off with painters first. It's BEAUTIFUL Cindiloo!
    Really charming.

I use NevrDull to clean silver and silver plate with,it's a wadding type cleaner, all my trays and things have been silver plate (if it were real silver I'd sell it hehe) NeverDull will leave the patina in the designs and patterns in your silver plate. Then when I'm finished grouting I spray the whole thing with a clear acrylic .

kudzukween: After spraying with the clear acrylic will I NOT have to ever get out the silver polish again?

hahahahhaha. Oh man, just cracked myself up...."get out the silver polish" like I even own any...

andrea_2: Blue Plate Special indeed! Good one.
