Well, I have fallen in love with the second one. Those are absolutely beautiful. I have never seen anything like them. Slow's was really pretty and I was drooling, but these are to die for. I really like the one without the picture the best. Good for you. There is just so much talent in this forum it takes my breath away. Keep up the good work.

"mosaic scissors??!!!" Do tell.

They are scissors fron the stained glass shop,they cut out an extra piece where the grout would go,of course with my glass cutting I still have to grind a lot to make them fit.Maybe with age I'll get better...better hurry huh?

Annie... the crosses are WONDERFUL! Love the 'wings' pic. in the first one... both are SO nicely done!
Hmmmmm... I just can't picture the 'mosaic scissors' you described. Can you possibly give us a couple of tutorial pictures. My weak brain can't quite wrap around how it works.

Oh Annie I love both of them. The bright colors of the second one really call to me. I am just going to have to try this SOON!! Think I will have to buy a WHOLE sheet of that backer board. LOL

Got $20.00 off on my credit card bill when I bought my tumbler, for reasons I do not quite undrstand. Going to buy that roto zip right away and look for the mosaic sissors. That sounds very cool.

Those are beautiful! What did you put the 3rd one on? I mean what is the base? I like it's free form. Gotta try one or two. I don't know if you realize there are 2 types of glass scissors. One is for copper foil work and the other is for lead work. I find that the lead cuts a wider line. Making it better for mosaic.

This not the brand I have but similar in what they do,the cross's are all cut from mdf thanks to my DH Just google mosaic scissors from leponitt,sorry picture didn't show

VERY PRETTY! Went out today with DD and she bought me a metal cross to mosaic, I was so inspired by the one you made Slow and now these!!!

Annie, you have become the pattern queen! The way your pieces fit together is perfection! You totally get it!!

Another tip, instead of using the mosaic scissors, use a med-fat tip marker to draw your pattern. Cut out your pieces on either side of the lines. Then your grout will be the width of the marker line.

And Bama, that's what I do also...with a black Sharpie.
It gives a perfect 1/8" grout line.

Well, CRACK: I love them all but LOVE mine bestest. It's truly professional work.

Your DH did a great job cutting them out. Love the way you have the pieces fit. The scissors she used are what you use to cut out patterns for stained glass. They actually cut it so that you do have a grout line. You did a great job of keeping the pieces in order and not forgetting like me what piece goes where...

Just had one of my many DUH moments! I was picturing... cutting GLASS with 'mosaic sissors'... just did the Google thing... and realized you're all talking about cutting PAPER patterns! DUH! I couldn't imagine CUTTING glass! It's just a brain lag moment! :-)
