Very neat idea Helen! I can understand why you had grouting problems. Looks like a bear to grout, but you did a good job on it. What are the flowers made of?

Just LOVE your creativity! How clever of you. I think your mission is accomplished. What are the flowers? They really add to the transition from ugly to beautiful.

Your ammo can is GREAT!!! It does look like it would have been hard to do. I especially like the Try to find Beauty in all things. Very nice. My hubby has one of those cans. Hummmmmmmmmmm Would make a nice tool box.

Very cute idea with the ammo can. I have one but is waiting to be a "geocache". NOW- where did you get the letters for your sign? And the idea with the curtain rings is SOOO CLEVER!!

The ammo can turned out great!!! What a cool project. The pink really does make it look great. My hubby has several of those and Im positive he would NOT let me mosaic them. I love the flowers thank you for sharing your secret with us!!! The welcome sign looks cool also.

Well you l'il heifer!!! That ammo box is just darlin', but I just about flipped at your secret on the flowers. Lordy, I w/NEVER have thought to do that. How creative is THAT. Uh oh - now I'm looking at the wonderful ones on my shower - GEESH - you've really done it now - I just said yesterday that I wasn't going to shop anymore for awhile for tesserae. **sigh** Walmart and Bed Bath and Beyond, here I come.

When you get them just use a Dremel to cut off the hook part. Everytime I go to Target I check the bath section for ones on sale. The great thing is they are 12 to a box, and such a variety.

The can did not rate but 3 posts in the challenge, so it is nice to have you ladies comments.

The letters are just the wooden craft letters, that I painted red. The glass on the welcome sign is sea glass. It was one of those quickie projects that took more time to wait for drying than the doing.

Mow for a real project...

I can't believe you didn't get more posts in the challenge. I think it is a very unusual item to mosaic and probably not that easy of project at that. I think it looks cute.
