Yep - it bends tubing and pipe so it dosn't crimp it . There's alot of different kinds - here's one for example.

I, er, dare I say it, asked for a light box. So DH promptly built one! We are strange people....pipe bender, light box, what NEXT?

Uh, I asked for and received an 8' fibreglass ladder from Santa year before last.....and a chop saw last year. DH knows I'm easy to shop for....just go to HD or Lowe's and get the latest gadget or 2 or 10! LOL!!

A few years ago he rebelled, tho, and demanded I put SOMETHING on my list that wasn't a tool or for the house! So, I asked for lumber to side our storage building! He sorta gave up after that and just goes to ye ol' list!

TMG - Copper is very expensive right now. Go for the stuff that's easy to bend without a tube bender - flexible tubing. Ask the guys at Menards about flexible copper rather than regular. It won't be any cheaper but it's a LOT easier to work with.

I used to make copper sprinklers and the copper prices just put me right out of business!

I would like the Beetle cutter, which I actually already ordered and wrapped it from him to me. LOL Those are the best gifts. I got my DH an electric birdbath, so it doesnt freeze. Something I, I mean HE, always wanted.

The morton system ( since Barb already showed me how to use it). I'd put a wet saw on my list, but that might be too much for him. Maybe next year I'll get a REAL tool!!LOL

Isn't it something how our "hobbies" change our want list......I don't know what I want..but I was thrilled when my husband came home with me some copper B B's when he went to Wally World.....you'd thought he gave me a diamond ring!!!!!

Flexible copper tubing ? Never heard of that .... I'll be on the lookout !

I have a vise bender that does that. I use it in my welding and stuff. Oh and copper is ouch right now. I just bought i think was 40 feet and it was close to 70 bucks. I got to find a place that is cheaper as i use it to make windchimes.

oh yeah... a rebar bender and a metal cutting blade for the chop saw!

TMG - it's the same stuff with which one hooks up an icemaker only larger diameter. I used to make circles and curlicues with it all the time without a pipe bender.

TMG when I was looking for my copper for my dragonfly they called it malleable copper verses ridged copper. I still havent got what I need for christmas presents because of the price...

What do I want for Christmas?? I would want the beetle system if I didnt have the morton already but I guess I want more glass!!!!! No I know what I want..I want my hubby to make me a cabinet to hold some glass with a flat top to put my light box on. Im running out of room to put my glass!!

Copper must be up in price. Last month there was a robbery in NYC where someone came home to find they were robbed of their pipes!! Can you imagine!! ( the neighbors must have been deaf!)

Well...Christmas is going to be rather meager here this year, we just got a new Trane heating and cooling system with whole house air filtration system. So while I'm sitting by the tree not opening presents feeling warm and cozy, I'll appreciate not being cold. Our old system was 26yrs old and never did the job. I guess I could pull out my old toys and remember Christmas' past. Like my Dremel, my cordless Dewalt drill, my Roto Zip tool (love my Roto Zip)...DH knows me well. Maybe next year I'll ask Santa for a glass saw.

I'll never forget the year my lil DD said to her lil DB, "Look! Mommy uses the same giftwrap as Santa!!"(6yrs old!)hee hee! I like to wrap pretty well everything in the house in tinsel and lights!!heh heh! DH is practically against gift giving as it's a negative cash flow...bah humbug! I would say that for Christmas I'd like those new lithium battery powered power tools would be nice! Then I could do some future yard projects! Oh and a compound sliding mitre saw! I think I have all the diamonds I want, diamond blades, diamond crete, diamond bits....lol!
