I had two friends lose beloved dogs recently so I made them each a stepping stone/headstone for them. Here's one of the two. The recipients loved them.

Don't know if you remember that large "ornament" I made out of a bowling ball. I finally grouted it with beige grout and then painted the grout metallic gold. Bent a large piece of wire like an ornament hanger and hooked it to the top. I left it on a friend's porch and she knew exactly who left it and couldn't rave enough about it(ungrouted photo below).

So all in all, a successful mosaic gift giving season.

Well, Chloe liked her mirror and tray!

I got the best reaction from my son's girl with the "pierced" mirror.
Lets see... " I love it" and "the best gift ever" and "I can't wait to show my mom".

Shawn took a picture with her camera with the tree reflecting in the mirror. I will have to hound him to email it to me. Didn't think of just having him download it on my computer - duh. I'll post it when I get it

My brother seemed VERY pleased with his gift--but I can't tell you what it was or post a pic til after the exchange, 'cause I made (insert name here;) one also. AND I discovered a VERY cool happy accident after I gave it to him. I'll tell/show you that later also! I can't wait! Well, yes, I have too... But it's very cool!

Well, FIDDLE: That board IS awesome. I absolutely love the colors, and the black grout made it. Your idea of the silhoutte is great - all in all - that's what I call a very creative board. Like your's too, WENCH - love those ornaments on the BBs, and what a thoughtful thing to do for your friends's dog.

Wench- I love your ornament it turned out beautiful. Can you get a grouted picture of it?? I've been meaning to make a plaque for my dog that passed but just never did..guess I'll chalk it up to laziness!! I really like how yours turned out.
