Lyndalu, I LOVE your choice of colors in this BEAUTIFUL pot! And the beige grout is perfect for this.
I have some of the same color tiles and never thought of putting the violet with the turquoise. Can't wait to play with the colors together now.

I have never seen such beautiful work with plates on pots. I have tried it but cannot get them to look like tiles or get the pattern as perfect as that. Love the colors you used.

LYNDALU - you are the Queen of plate shards for the day. You really know how to put those wonderfully cut tiles together to their advantage - just like a puzzle. BEAUTIFUL. Yeah, can't remember if you have a wet saw. If not, that's a whole lot of nipping plates. SIRIUS, the size of the tiles, I'm learning, need to be really small. There's one on the GJunk side who can make the most wonderful mosaics using shards. Haven't been on that side in so long, but she's the one who had the beautiful blue bench, and mosaiced a chair. Fabulous job, LYNDALU.

Yep, I have those plates!! I'll never make mine look as good as that pot, though! I thought ( because I tried ) they were hard to nip. I see them all the time around here ( TS, SA ...)

LYNDALU: FABULOUS! You choose colors that go with your climate! What are you planning to do with this set? You are quite the queen of precision cutting but I on the other hand am toying with the idea of getting rid of my stash of crockery. I love glass more than anything.

Yeah, I love finding a whole set of dishes  and IÂve been very lucky in that regard.

Gypsy  I do have a ring saw, but I just used the nippers on these. I just started using the ring saw, and only practiced on some glass so far. I can tell IÂm gonna love the ring saw, though!!

Shrty  Yes, I agree  these plates were hard to nip. Especially the big plates  they ended up ragged, and had to be smoothed out. The smaller plates and saucers were fine, though. ANDÂ.I found that the wheeled nippers worked better than my regular nippers on these particular plates.

Rosie  this grouping will be used on my lanai. My goal is to have all the plants on the lanai and around the pool in mosaic-d pots. Have a ways to go yet, but IÂve made a lot of progress. Oh, and I know what you mean about the glass  after seeing all the beautiful glass work by all of you here, IÂve fallen in love with it, too. And can hardly wait to work with it more. IÂve got some vacation coming up, and I donÂt want to go anywhere  just want to MOSAIC!!!!!

Lynda,a wet saw will work better on plates than your ring saw I think,for cutting strips,then you just nip the size square you want.........

You are the Queen Of Pots!!! Those type of plates are the kind I look for now as they nip up the best I find. I find nipping by hand is so much faster than hauling out a saw to do it. My glass saw is slower than I want it to be!lol! Love the color combo you have on these newest pots! LOVELY!!! And I sure hear ya about the stay at home and mosaic! Love It!!!

lol........I have two saucers and two salad dishes and a couple of the cups, which I have one of, right here next to me, with a cup of tea in it.

I also love the turquoise and plum color, with that little bits of sandstone looking 'stars'.

Would you come visit and do the plates I got for two urns and then I wouldn't have to do it. The pot if fabulous and I am sure the rest of them will be too. I will try to start mine soon. Finishing up a mirror, backsplash, big urn, etc. Too many projects. Great job. I know you are proud!
