We have a large 24 x 24 family room that we are in the process of redecorating. We just installed hard wood floors and have created two living spaces with furniture. We have one space with two leather sofas in an L format facing the TV with coffee table. We have another space in front of the fireplace with two chairs and an ottoman. There is also a wall of built ins on the back wall with a large window seat. My dilemna -- should we have one large area rug 13 x 18 or two area rugs -- one 9x 12 where sofas are and a 6 x 9 in front of fireplace?

Also if we choose 2 rugs, we're considering one plain tan wool fringed rug and one smaller persion style. Thoughts...
