I use down pillows and have gotten several at Pottery Barn. You can find the PB inserts on ebay (usually) for less.

I'm thinking of getting one of the big (really big!) bolster pillows for our bed, but do not want to fork out the $65 PB price. Haven't searched online yet, but will.

The Company Store or Garnett Hill both carry good quality down ones

and if you have allergies, the company store primaloft ones are excellent.

My DD just went to college, and her big request for her dorm room were pillows like we had on our bed. They are company store primaloft :-)

I bought some at Calico Corners many years ago. They are holding form very well. The kind I purchased are not down.

I sew my own pillows and I don't use the feather inserts. I found that they lose their shape, constantly need to be re-fluffed and pounded back up into top, and feathers work their way out. I buy my inserts from fabric outlets, and I get the taut ones that the insides don't squish to the bottom very easily. Sorry---don't know how to describe it better.
