i like the bed skirt to match the valance,with sheers for length and solid color on the bedspread or comforter. use the pattern again on pillow trim. how about matchstick bamboo roll up shades? they'll have the dark brown and the goldy beige in there for you,if you like that look. i think your scheme sounds soothing,,nice for a bedroom.

The idea of using black and white seashore prints, bracketless shelving and greenish background is very good idea.I would also suggest to use bamboo it gives you feeling that your in some natured place.It is better to go with green or brown curtains to your bed.

fallingwaters, thanks for the ideas. I looked at some shades today and am thinking about going with bamboo roman shades. I found some that I can get either chocolate brown or the blue I'm using as the trim. I started a new project today as well. I'm painting my guest bedroom. I put a white chair rail up and have painted the bottom "French Olive" and the top "Meadow Twilight" by Valspar. The carpet is also light beige. I have a beige couch I am going to use as a seating area. I would like to use brown and burnt orange in the accessories. If you were a guest, would that color scheme be to much?
