I can't imagine why not. Over the summer I put my son's dorm room rug on the tile kitchen floor to shampoo it.

Just do it in the morning so it dries well and bring it indoors in the mid-afternoon before the sun starts dropping.

Maybe a dropcloth would be better than plastic for condensation, and to absorb any moisture that goes through?

I've done mine several times. I have tile and concrete, so I don't worry about the moisture. Also, I only do one side. Just be sure to extract as much moisture as possible and spend the time for a good rinse. Leaving any soap behind will lead to dirt accumulating faster.

Okay, I'll give it a try. I really think I will have to do both sides because of spilt soda and such from my toddlers - age 25 and 27! Thanx for the advice.
