Yellow Bathroom Tile!

From the same user who brought you blue carpet...it's Yellow Bathroom Tile. There is this bathroom and one tiled exactly the same, only much larger. I have looked at pics online and really love the steel grey with the yellow tile. I would like to make the other bathroom different. Any suggestions?

    Paint the cabinet and any trim in the room white dove by BM. Also the main door and door trim.
    Paint the walls Kestral White by SW.
    Get woven wooden shade for window in the whitewash finish.
    Satin nickel pulls and light fixture.
    If the mirror is framed, paint it in the white dove, and use rub and buff silver on any raised areas.

    White or off-white towels and throw rugs.

    And a potted orchid in yellow and purple.

    I have almond tile in my baths...and this is what I did. Turned out great.

    I love B&W or just black with yellow tile. You could also do a toile shower curtain. Are you interested in wallpaper?

    How about navy blue?

    I'll trade you; I have pink tile.

    It's nice. There are plenty of ways to go. What style do you like?

    Gel stain the vanity dark. Then go with white and chrome...

    Or pick a yellow, gray fabric and go from there. See link below for the details with some amazing photoshopped suggestions by gmp3

    Here is what we did with our yellow tile which appears to be darker than yours.

    I used these 2 fabrics to freshen DD"s guest room

    {{!gwi}}
    http://warehousefabricsinc.com/INNSLE.html $8.98/yd

    {{!gwi}}
    http://www.decorativefabricsdirect.com/Magnolia_Home_Fashions_OH_SUZANNI_METAL_Fabric_p/6138511.htm $8.95

    I think these would look good as a shower curtain and maybe a roman shade.

    The two fabrics work together, but you probably ought to order samples if you think you might like them.

    Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Such a simple decorating tip...to look at fabrics....I love fabric! Even if I know how to make nothing from it.

    I don't really care for whites or beige, but I do like like a lovely cream or champagne color for a smaller space. The upstairs bathroom is quite large, exactly the same color of tile. So far, I'm leaning grey in one; a calming shade of teal in the other. I think the bathrooms will actually be far easier to decide than the living room with blue carpet!

    Nothing amiss with the color--it is just the style of the tile that dates the room. The fact that the tile is the "original" will never be hidden. Why not celebrate it and yes be VERY THANKFUL--it could be soooo much worse!!

    I love the yellow tile, it is such a beautiful creamy, buttery yellow. I would keep it. IMO, a pale yellow is a wonderful neutral.

    I actually love the color, too. And I agree that it's the style that makes it look dated. Like another said...it could be pink! I would have a tough time with that!

    It sort of straddles that fine line between vintage and dated. If you look at one of the pics geokid posted, they show a bath with the same floor and wall tile that you have...but that bathroom reads more vintage, I guess because of the sink. Have you thought about replacing the sink/ cabinet? Granted, they are more functional for storage than pedestal sinks, but I think that is what is " dating" this powder room...I think the tile is nice.

    ETA- nix that, I just realized if you got rid of the cabinet, you wouldn't have tile there. So I agree, make it dark or paint it gray...and get the wallpaper off ASAP!

    Seems to me the cabinet is younger than the tile.....maybe there is tile behind it....
