I'm of no help other than getting your pictures to show in this thread.

I think the second one will be frendlier to your hand. The first is nice looking but your hand would not cup it naturally.

My next house is modern, and in my current house I have egg shaped knobs and I really like the way they "feel" and I think they will be a better knob as I get older but I am not sure about their "look" in the next house. But I will go for the tactile and function rather than appearance in any case.

The door in this pic looks to have that kind of handle and I love the look. Thanks for the resource on the handles. I'm trying to pick mine right now too...who know this would be such a challenge?

Those are both nice looking knobs. I agree with Pal about the feel of the first one not being so nice.

They're both very nice but I like the rounder edge and taller backplate on the second.

I have Baldwin ORB egg shaped knobs and very much like feel of the rounded knob and the height of the rosette backplate.
