I'm not sure I'm seeing an accent wall. If you do that back wall, I think it will compete with the arches in the window by highlighting the strong diagonal planes. I do think a richer color on all of the walls would be lovely.

it's not obvious in this picture, but the ceiling actually curves at the top, mimicking the shape of the window, instead of coming to a point.... i do see what you're saying, though. thanks for the input!

I have to agree with htnspz that I donâÂÂt see that wall painted a different color. WIth all the windows I think you have enough of a focus, and I am not sure that you have enough wall space to make the color be the star, which is what you want from an accent wall.

Love all your windows! Whatever color you paint, be sure you paint the ceiling the same color.

Is there a reason you want the sconces on the wall? I ask because they arenâÂÂt very effective lighting for reading or creating a warm feeling in the space. Good for overall lighting for cleaning and stuff, and probably nice if they are on dimmers for a gloomy day. But I think you would do better to get some lamps on the end tables in the space.

However, if you are set to replace the sconces, perhaps something like this? I like how the feel is more modern like your furniture, but the curves are a good balance for all the straight lines of the windows:
