Window drapery sizing question

I confess to being clueless when it comes to drapery!

I have a bay window in my DR that the opening is 75", 84" to outside of window casing.

I found panels that I love that are 26" wide. They have inverted pleats that the top--the rod pocket is actually tabs in the back.

I don't plan on ever closing the drapes--my view is my backyard and we don't need the privacy.

Is it ok to have ~20-30" of empty rod showing across the middle? Or should I get 4 panels--or will that be too full? I also bought holdbacks.

Of course this might be a moot point if I can't find the color I need at my local stores (see my LNT grumble)

Thanks

Nancy
