Paint colour - Help!

We are well on our way to our new kitchen! Our painter wants to paint before the cabinetry goes in, and I am having sooooo much trouble finding a colour! Our tiles have way more rust/copper in them than i expected, and that has thrown me for a loop. I am going for a light, airy look on the walls, but don't know what to do with the orange...

Floor - "Fake Slate" - it's a porcelain tile with a lot of black and copper. I was expecting black & gray...

Cabinets - BM Marscapone

Counters - Nevada matrix granite & Marble (I can't remember the name - I have gone brain dead - something Dorado... it's more of a white/beige than Carrera

The stove is black, and the rest of the appliances are panelled.

We will have chrome fixtures and a firec lay apron sink

I want something light and fresh that goes wit hthe creamy tone of the marscapone cabinets, and the copper of the floor....

HELP!

I've just picked up a sample of Glidden's Autumn Haze and I really like it. I'm hoping i'll get to paint this weekend if the drywallers finish up today.

It's a light sand color that looks light, fresh and neutral. I really like it against the creamy white. You can pick up a pre-mixed tester for under $2 at Home Depot. I'm planning to buy it at my local Glidden Professional store formerly ICI Dulux. They carry the higher end paint lines that are better quality than the Home Depot version.

The Behr's paint, the one with the primer already in it, cannot be beat! Not that I care about so-called studies and surveys (I've used the paint so I know it's exceptional) but Consumers Report rated it even with BM's Aura paint, with which I'm also familiar. With my experience I'd say the Behr at about $35/gallon beats the Aura at whatever price point. And those $2.00 Home Depot samples are a great tool for narrowing down color choices. Have a good day!
