Get the names of a few fabricators/installers. I found a few to do NEW,but I'm sure they'd do re-use. IF they have to take it to their shop, it would probably be a $75-100 fee for transporting them. SInce you don't have edging to do, they may be able to do onsite for something like an overmount sink, but I'm not sure about undermount.

The island may not be as much a problem, since you can probably easily recreate the exact dimension of the original island and if you have sufficient stone overhang. As for perimeter cabinetry, it could be tricky. The new cabinets would need to spec out exactly as the original cabinets...you don't have a lot of wiggle room with the narrowness of perimeter countertops and corners can be troublesome. Make sure you talk to more than one fabricator and most importantly your cabinet rep and installer. Good luck!

Make sure you can find separate fabricators. In our area, WNY you can't. I was interested in buying some used granite. I searched and searched and no independent fabricators. In our area where you buy the granite is who fabricates it. So that is where I had to call. They would not be responsible for cutting granite that did not come from them. The only good thing about this is that here you pay by the SF, no having to buy a whole slab.

I'm sure every area is different but check to be sure.
