Sallysue- Don't worry too much about the label on the light. You can buy LED bulbs with the correct connector and swap them into a halogen fixture. Because you are swapping something at the same voltage and lower heat output, there is no safety risk... I guess unless you get 400X the brightness and blind someone... so don't.

So find a lighting system you like and make sure they make LED bulbs in that base style. The bulbs are like 8-10x as expensive as halogen, but apparently last a super long time and (50w - 4w) * (# of bulbs in the track) is pretty good savings.
