I don't think so. Our KA is integrated and it fits just fine. Remember, the cabinet boxes next to it are 24" deep, then add the doors for approx another 1" and you have very close to the KA's 24-7/8".

Also, your countertop will be deeper than the cabinets, usually around 25-1/4" to 25-1/2" deep...they extend past the cabinets by 1-1/4" to 1-1/2".

KA has caused quite a few issues for people with inset cabinets. You need the depth of the dishwasher (plus any clearance) plus the depth of the door to not exceed the depth of the cabinets with doors. So, an inset cabinet is 24" with doors, while an overlay cabinet is 24" plus doors. The KA generally works for the overlay cabinet, but not the inset cabinet. I have a Bosch with inset cabinets.

I've been trying to figure this out too for many months. The European DW seem to have no problem but the US (KA) might be an issue. I get conflicting info every time I go to an appliance store. This last time a guy showed me the KA panel and that it stuck out a "bit". I'm playing it safe and recessing my DWs (2). Since I'm gutting the kitchen it should not be much of an issue. My DWs flank my sink in a long run and I want it all to be "flat". My farmhouse sink though will come forward a bit. Also, if you get insert doors I don't think you have the extra depth in the front per buehl's post (but I'm not as knowledgable as buehl).

Thanks! now I understand -- it's the inset doors that KA doesn't account for. I will have inset doors so now I know I either have to go deeper on the counter or get a Bosch or Miele.
