48' range installation

We have been working on our kitchen for a very long time. We have done quite a bit of work ourselves and have hired some out. We are to the point of intalling our beautiful 48" DCS range. The plumbers are hooking it up, but we are all in question about how to "slide in" the unit. It took three strapping young men just to get it onto a pallet so we could use the pallet jack to get it from our garage and into the kitchen. It is 600lbs with the doors and MAYBE 500lbs without them. It is not on wheels. It has leveling glides. Our floor is porcline tile. Any suggestions on sliding it into place? The installation instructions read like this..."when in place..." I've thought about furniture glides, but what about heat? Plumber thought about rolling it on pipes, but that was a questionable solution as well. If you can, PLEASE HELP! They are coming back on Saturday to finish up.

THANKS!
