I am thinking of going to a round kitchen table after my remodel. Probably pedestal so I dont have leg issues. Right now I have a rectangle- large french country with huge ladder back chairs and rush seats. I think my space would work better with a round table though (is in a bay window). I love the rush seats and I sort of played with the idea of painting the chairs antique white and just replacing the table. Then I looked into painting chairs and it seemed daunting with finish removal. I need a taller table b/c my husband is 6'7" so tables often hit the top of his thighs.

All that said,I cannot find anything. My kids are still little so I dont want something super-expensive. They like sharpies while drawing! Or maybe if i had solid woodIdeally it'd be 48" with a leaf if we needed to make it bigger. Need 5 chairs- ideally 6.

Anyone have tables they love?
