Mine (not installed yet) is 2 burners Wolf gas and 3 burners Gaggenau induction (self-imported from Europe) in a total of 48", preserving some of that for counter space. I looked into the various options available. Have you checked the Induction Site? There are other induction dominoes besides the ones you mentioned. There are also other gas ones. What I don't know if there are other brands that offer both.

The biggest issue I see for you is space, but if you're really happy with three or four elements you can do it in the space allowed. The "best", biggest and most expensive are the Gaggenau 15" ones. I don't like the discontinuous grates on the Miele. Your best bet is to go on the websites of the brands you're considering and really read through the use and installation instructions, then try to see as many as you can in person and get demos if possible.

The noise with induction depends on many things. There's fan noise, which is associated with power. On the full sized units Miele is the quietest I've heard. I don't remember a lot of fan noise with the Gaggenau induction wok however, and it's about the most powerful residential unit there is.

The other kind of noise is the high pitched hum you get mostly from a combination of interestingly clad pans and shallow water. I did hear that with a little water in an all clad pot on a demo of the Gagg wok unit. I don't know if cast iron and/or more water would have the whine. I don't find it irritating, and noises do affect me, but you might. Again, a demo is the best bet. There was none of that on a demo I got of the 36" Miele, but I don't know if that would be the same for the 15" domino.

But you can't go wrong with any of the brands you've mentioned. A lot of it comes down to which options, features and looks you like best.
