White beveled arabesque

Hi all
We intend to use the white beveled arabesque as a kitchen backsplash with White cabs, superwhite counters and navy blue walls but we are stumbling...
2 questions
1- how does the tile hold up over time? It's pretty, but with so many deep crevices is it a nightmare to keep clean? How does it hold up to sauces splashing from the range top and heat/exhaust from a range oven without risers?
2- if you've used the product, did you use it directly behind the range or did you do one of those picture frame designs with a different pattern inside? If so, what other shapes to well with it? It's very busy, perhaps a simple white subway tile? What about using marble subway tile here? Or perhaps just the grey colored arabesque? Or what about using the same tile but a grey grout to make it pop more?
Pictures would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
