I've contacted a local artisan who can do custom sizes, so this(I've asked for something with like colors and similar feel) in combo with subway, squares, etc. Thing is, what the heck field tile do I use? It has to be light in color. I've looked at silver glass, but the colors are SO hard to read online, so I'll try to track some down in real life later.

Here are the front runners for the field DESIGN--NOT these colors. If you have any others, PLEASE let me know:

I'd have the accent tile made to fit the whole accent space, not have 2 different accents

I'd do the counters black, so the backsplash will be the #1 star. I'd need the field tiles to read light and bright with the darkness around it. I'm considering stainless for the field, but I need to put up a mock b/s first to see if it is too dark(going to go high cost and use aluminum foil!)
