ok. i'm hoping this works. i uploaded my 1st plans onto google docs and would like some input.

the cabinets are going to change a drop...the lower bookcase is gone and we're going to end the cabinet run 1/2way to the middle of the window by the back door.

this is a 9x16 kitchen in a 1925 brooklyn, ny house.

our contractor can install 4-6 high hats and then i have to decide how many hanging lights. the hood will have 2 lights on it. i was thinking that 2 hanging pendants might be nice - hanging down the middle line of the ceiling and sort of straddling the stove area. but i don't know from lighting...we've had one very awful 'interrogation' lamp for many years now and there has never been enough light.

we're not doing under-cabinet light.

may i have input from anyone about ideas?
