Should I worry about knobs with single screws?

Will a good quality knob/pull that is attached properly stay put? Or, will it still tend to twist a bit and mess up my cabinet finish?
I am looking at some Ashley Norton finger pulls and/or knobs that would be attached to the drawer with a single screw. The bases of the knobs/pulls I am considering are not round.
Would I be risking cabinet finish and/or forever straightening knobs?
Five houses so far, and I don't think any have had knobs!
