Heater Model?

Do you know the model of the heater you used? I know its Fostoria..but which one? And did your carpenter trim it out with stainless steel or did it come with the trim?

The owner and the contractor worked directly together on this unit- I believe there are only a few Fostoria models that are recessed- and I think you can order the SS trim as an option. I've also used an INFRATECH W-Series flush mount on other projects. It also has a stainless steel frame. Model W2524 SS

Does it have a blower? Otherwise, how would it radiate enough heated air downward to the sitting location?

There is no blower on this type of heater. If you are under the heater, you can definitely feel it.

Does it matter whether there is a slope to the ceiling or not when using the WD5 heaters with the W20 flushmount kit (18-2300). Is there a requirement for the ceiling to be flat when using these heaters?

Flush mounted heaters must be installed on a flat ceiling. On a slope the heat escapes at the top end of the heater creating a chimney effect. This concentrates too much heat at one point that can lead to problems.

Our heaters must always be installed on flat ceilings. In this beautiful Flora Residence image, the ceiling appears pitched due to the camera angle, but is flat in reality. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else!
