Another CL purchase?

What do you think about these and the price? I think it sounds pretty good. I thought I could stain them darker with some gel stain and give the chest to my older daughter who is looking for one. The bedside table could be used at my house.

I contacted the owner and he is going to send me close-ups when he gets home. I asked about construction and size (which he will measure) once he gets home. He says "it is solid pine complete with dovetail joints for the drawers." I know the pieces are not old, but think that they are reproductions of older pieces. If you look close, their is beading on the drawers.

What concerns me is that the chest looks small, like for a nursery. But the owner has them in a guest room.

Fair price?

I think they're nice & the price is OK.

Jut a note about pine - pine is a soft wood and scratches easily. My sister had a pine bedroom suite and she hated it, the wood was so soft it scratched at almost anything.

Depends on how much wear & tear it will get, but at that price you would replace it when and if it scratched.

I also think they're nice and price ok but the chest does look very small. I wouldn't want one that small in my room if it's the scale I'm picturing. Can you get the dimensions?

Yes, I have asked for dimensions - which I will get when the owner arrives home tonight.

The chest is not for me, but for my daughter's condo and she is on a budget. She needs something badly. She/I would love to have a solid cherry highboy, but I haven't seen any of those advertised for $125.

I think the price for this set is very good, IF the size is suitable. And it's delivered FREE! Still a good price if it's nursery sized, but not for my daughter.

I did a search on eBay and a similar chest is going for $445, plus $125 shipping.

The pine furniture may just be some of the unfinished pine, but I am hoping since it has the dovetail, that it is some of the group in the link below. That's why I need close-ups.
