Which Stainless Kitchen Sink?

I would love suggestions as to which stainless sink brands people would recommend (or not). I am looking for something durable and quiet. I'm getting the exact dimensions from the contractor tomorrow but know I need two bowls, one of which will be pretty deep. Much thanks!

I have a Ticor S405D under mount sink from Galaxy Tool Supply. It's a double bowl sink with one small & one large bowl. How deep are you thinking? My large bowl is 9" deep. Then, add the 3 cm (1-1/4") countertop....so it's really 10-1/4" deep.

    It's installed in a 36" sink base.

We also bought a Ticor (based on the many recommendations of GWers). Solidly made and much less $$ than other brands. I also really like the grid that comes with it.

I also bought the Ticor. I bought mine through Overstock.com.
I learned about them on this form. I also have a 36" sink base and mine is a littler smaller than Buehls. I wish I would have ordered the one she has, but mine is a second sink on a very large island so it will be fine. Try to get the largest sink you can fit in your base. Also, I would have price researched more. I just bought on Overstock becauase I had purchased other items there in the past.

I did much research on this and wound up with Kohler. I noticed many of the sinks didn't bend the steel around corners very tight, taking up precious sink space with wide, sloping bottoms and side corners. These Kohlers edges were more "square", and the centerline down the double bowls was smaller/narrower than many others. This gives us more sink for the space, very trim, and pans fit into it that others, including our previous porcelain sinks did not fit (and the same "size"). The 18-guage thickness is enough - no dents and silent. We are happy with this choice, and enjoy the extra space this provides.

These sinks can be expensive, but I was able to get this on E-bay in new condition for about half what they retail now.

And the install we did a few months ago sitting below Caesarstone....

What about the Blanco SS sink? Anyone have experience with those? Others I have looked at are Elkay and Franke as well. We have not decided on ours yet and would be interested in what others experience is with their SS sink as well as good place to purchase.

We have been very happy with our Blanco SS sink. It has taken a lot of abuse since we installed it and still looks like new.

BTW...most Ticor sinks from Galaxy Tool Supply come with a grid for each bowl as well as a strainer for each bowl.

You may want to look a Julien Sink. We are enjoying ours and it seems quiet enough to me. I was used to a very old enameled cast iron sink. Stainless does sound different from cast iron, but for me it has not been a big difference. The new sink sounds fairly solid when you strike it and it does not vibrate/ring/reverberate, I cannot find the right word, when the water is running.

Franke GNX120- 2 bowls - both bowls good size but not equal. Larger side is quite deep- 10"+ while other side is ~7" deep. It's a good double sink.
